5. How to choose the right height

As a general guide, leave about 250 to 300mm between the top of the seat and the underside of the counter, so there is room for legs. Check this against your own counter before ordering.

For example, with a 1000mm counter, a 700mm stool leaves about 300mm of legroom. Measure your counter height first and subtract 250 to 300mm.
